Welcome to Sea Chain
This will be an information site for the hidden history
of the Great Lakes. I hope to cast some light on the
chaos of Eastland disaster analysis and perhaps
bring some unity to active collectors of Eastlandia.
SeaChain's web master enjoys historical theories,
counterfactuals and conspiracy theories. We hope to
use these tools to find "true facts" about our
lacustrine cavalcade.

About John Heinz
I collect ship models and post cards of the golden
age of the Great Lakes. These seem to be a little used
resource for historians. I have contributed to Inland
Seas, published a 'zine called Quedah Merchant and
am the author of  Ships of the Great Lakes in
Miniature. In the 1980's I kept afloat a sort of a fish tug
institute on the Chicago River, and presented at most
of our lacustrine museums. I was a carpenter at
Chicago's Grebe shipyard and have a rich resume.
The Sea Chain will review and discomfit the comfited,
yet this searcher would like to meet and hear from all
who are of the sea.
